Reduce your electric bill by lowering the price
of your electricity

For Residents of DC, Maryland, Delaware, & Pennsylvania

March 15, 2012

Prices charged by most electric utility companies in the Mid-Atlantic region for the electricity supply portion of their service are high above market.

If your get your electricity from Pepco, BGE, Allegheny Power (MD), Delmarva Power, or PPL, you can reduce your electric bill by lowering the price you pay for the electricity you use.  It takes about four minutes and costs nothing to lower the price of your electricity.  Here's how you do it.

Customers of Pepco, BGE, Allegheny Power (MD), Delmarva Power, and PPL can choose the energy company that supplies the electricity delivered to them by their electric utility company.  Choose a low-cost supplier and you will pay less.

Washington Gas Energy Services, Inc. (WGES), a leading retail energy provider, supplies electricity and natural gas at low cost to more than 357,000 customers in DC, Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.   Pepco, BGE, Allegheny Power (MD), Delmarva Power, PPL, and other utility companies deliver it.

Compare your utility company's price for electricity supply (electricity generation + transmission services) with WGES' price.  Then click on a tab in the left margin for your electric utility company to see how you can enroll for lower priced electricity.
